The renovation of Già Trattoria transformed over 5,000 sqf within the Shui On Centre into a warm and inviting Italian dining destination, inspired by traditional trattorias in Italy. Drawing on the charm of family-owned restaurants, the design celebrates a DIY spirit and the warmth of antiques layered through generations.
From the moment guests enter, they are guided through a curated culinary experience. A large open kitchen immediately engages diners, offering a theatrical glimpse of chefs preparing dishes. The prominent buffet counter, framed from the entrance, pays homage to the previous Già Trattoria at Fenwick Pier and has become a signature feature of the space.
The restaurant is thoughtfully divided to accommodate diverse dining experiences. A private dining room, discreet yet filled with natural light, offers intimacy, while a semi-private area provides flexibility for larger groups and gatherings. At the heart of the restaurant, the main dining room unfolds around a central bar and wine cellar, creating a lively focal point where energy, movement, and atmosphere come together. Each zone has been designed to balance functionality with mood and flow, offering guests an experience that celebrates both the cuisine and the theatre of dining.
